According to a new Swedish Poll a fifth of all Swedish women between the ages of 18 and 35 have engaged in cybersex or online sex in the last 5 years .

Of those surveyed, 22 percent responded "yes" when asked: "Have you ever had online sex or cybersex? Within the last 5 years"

The survey also found that 27 percent of young swedish women have used the internet to establish romantic or sexual relationships, with a further 14 percent willing to give it a try.

Just over 60 percent of the Swedish women responded “yes” when asked if they had ever sent a text, e-mail or multimedia messages of a sexual nature to a stranger or someone they had just met .

A representative sample of 1,000 young women were questioned about their sex lives in a survey that forms the basis for a Swedish television series focusing on sex and relationships.

In Sweden, online dating has long since shed many of the taboos associated with traditional dating services and Cybersex has become widely accepted amongst Swedish women .
