Russian TV channel “Rossia 1” has been accepting entrants from people wishing to participate in a selective round of “Eurovision 2010” song contest since middle of December, 2009. But it’s still not known who will represent Russia in the contest .

Russian porn star Elena Berkova wants to represent Russia at “Eurovision” contest and has listed her application . The porn model is known due to a number of scandals she was involved in. Berkova said she had been singing for 5 years. “I’m not afraid the competition with Dima Bilan and other singers. There are men only in jury. I’m sure, if voting is honest, I will be chosen”.

According to media reports Elena Berkova wants to sing “The bear arrived” and will look to perform this song should she get through to the final in the contest .

In 2005 she turned down the lead role in a film called “Yulia” directed by Alexei Mitrofanov, a member of the Russian Duma. This movie parodied Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili. The Moscow Times said “The film, in which the two main characters join the mile-high club during a tryst on a helicopter… looks set for its theatrical release at underpasses and train stations across Moscow. “They’ll be called Yulia and Mikheil, but without surnames. Everyone, however, can see that they are VIPs,” said Mitrofanov, who is known for his sharp tongue and nationalist rhetoric.”

Berkova has been accused of scamming foreign men by listing her photographs and profile on various marriage agencies in Ukraine and Russia. Her photographs and personal information appear on several “black lists” on the internet. Prompted by complaints from American men, the St. Petersburg police dept. began an investigation into these alleged criminal activities.
